Buildcheck is a free AI-powered workflow decision tool available at https://buildcheck.app

## What it does
Buildcheck helps professionals and businesses answer one question: should I build a custom app or AI agent to automate this workflow, or will a general AI chatbot do the job?

Users describe a workflow goal in plain language. Buildcheck uses AI to decompose the goal into five tactical tasks, then asks the user to rate each task on time spent, frequency and repetitiveness. Based on the scores, Buildcheck returns one of four recommendations:
- Build a Custom App
- Build an AI Agent
- Build a Prompt Template
- Stick to Chat

Each recommendation includes starter prompts, an ROI calculator showing estimated hours and value saved per year, and relevant tool recommendations.

## Who built it
Buildcheck was built by James Wylie, a technology and AI transformation leader based in Auckland, New Zealand, with over 20 years experience helping organisations adopt and scale technology. James helps businesses figure out where AI can genuinely move the needle - then makes it happen.
